Since his days with the Commotions, Lloyd Cole has been a personal favorite. I feature tons of LC songs on Deeper Into Music. His combination of smart lyrics and fetching melodic hooks seldom fails to impress and satisfy. He’s not ever been able to climb as high as one of his first major successes, “Perfect Skin,” for a second time but even his weaker tunes are far from second-rate.
