Here’s one from the experimental genius Raymond Scott, who added electronic gadgets to rocking swing and jazz and pushed it almost to the point of breaking. It’s a long but interesting story of how these tunes find their way, some 15-20 years later, to become the cartoon soundtracks for Bugs and Daffy at Warner Brothers. Another 30 years later these timeless quirks are again put through their paces in the 90s when some of the tunes are re-vamped for Ren and Stimpy (“The Toy Trumpet” is one of them.)
